Oracle HCM Integration Setup guide
Background
Kippy allows integration with Oracle HCM with a custom kippy adapter.
Your Oracle HCM administrator will enter the connection credentials securely to kippy where they will be securely persisted. This ensures no-one else needs to know the client secret.

Set up
1) Ask your kippy system owner to create a kippy account for your Oracle HCM adminstrator with his/her corporate email address. e.g. if your Oracle HCM adminstrator is Bob Smith at your org, then create a kippy Admin user in your kippy instance with the email address bob.smith@your-org.com.

2) Ask your kippy system owner to give this Oracle HCM administrator kippy system owner privileges in kippy Tools | Settings | User | Edit User.

3) Ask the Oracle HCM administrator to login to kippy and go to Tools | Settings | Integrations | HCM integration settings and enter the Set HCM Client ID, Set HCM Client secret, Set HCM url - and then click SAVE HCM INTEGRATION SETTINGS.

Please note, once saved, the Set HCM Client secret will appear as empty - but it has been securely persisted. This is so that it can not be retrieved by anyone.

The credentials should map to the appropriate permissions to be given to kippy.

For example, initially, a simple read-only grant can be given to test the connectivity.

Testing

Ask the Oracle HCM administrator to contact support@kippy.me and ask them to confirm the integration is working.
Please ask your Oracle HCM adminstrator to provide evidence of a simple API query call and response with the same credentials they have tested locally.
The kippy support team will then attempt to connect with the same API call to confirm the same result and provide a demo of how to use the adapter.

Finally

Your kippy system owner can remove the Oracle HCM adminstrator (e.g. Bob Smith) if he/she does not need to be a kippy user.

Your kippy system owners can turn off the HCM integration from the kippy side at Tools | Settings | Integrations | HCM integration | Allow HCM updates | OFF
